Just so I understand, doesn't a player have to play a minimum of 50 games?

Castillo is >27, so he is able to be drafted. Prospects are under 50 games or 50IP and under 27 years old. Only players 27 or over that can't be taken are those who have never been signed. I believe Olivera would fall into this category, but honestly I'd have to look him up to be 100%. If he is over 27 and never signed by a mlb team, when he finally is signed he would be available on waivers as a free agent.
Let me know if there are questions, but on this case Castillo is good, being over 27 makes him ineligible for the prospect draft as he can not be placed on a prospect roster.

Just to clarify, for our main draft players have to be over 50 games played, 50 innings pitched or be over 27 and signed. Once the prospect draft starts I'll reiterate the rules as there are some changes, prospects at the time of the prospect draft must be under 27, 200 games played and 175 innings pitched. If they don't meet that criteria they can't be drafted in the prospect draft, so there are a few players who fall into both categories. There are reasons we do it this way . This is my understanding, so as commish Ty can veto this

I'll let Ty rule on Castillo, but in the meantime, to keep the draft moving, the Rangers are thrilled to select the bearded one and place him as our OF rover, Charlie Blackmon (Col).

Rusney Castillo should be ineligible no? He does not qualify for main draft... Glad I wasn't the only one. It's not in the rule book but he did post it in the draft room under players eligible for he draft and used Rusney as an example. I never looked there bc I assumed it would all be in the rule book but Ty cleared it up to me in a PM. Damn I'm so mad I forgot that!

Certainly sucks I would have taken him here if I had known. Can we please post this in the rule book. And when I say that I mean under main draft link...

Sorry that there is confusion guys but on Jan 30th I posted a thread right in the main draft board titled "players eligable for this draft".......I figured the title was strong enough to get everyones attention and in that thread I named Rusney by name and said that he is eligible for the main draft. .....I put it there because everyone can go into the main draft board and see it right away, where guys just comb over the rule book......also in the rule book under prospects its states that a prospect is someone under 27 years old, which means that if they are 27 then they are not a prospect any longer.....once again I'm sorry but I was upfront with that player specifically so we didn't have this and that's all I could have done

Man if i knew Gattis had this amazingly awesome picture, I would have drafted him last round! goddamn it! what a baseball card picture this would have been!
