I noticed that after my top 5 prospects, none of the other guys were in the yahoo database. So out of curiosity i posted a massage in the yahoo forum stating there lack of prospects and asking them where is the area to request players to add..this was there response...
commented on Your missing too many prospects from your database. Yahoo! had no prospects at all until last season. Their current policy is to keep the prospect pool small with only some of the top prospects available.
With Hockey having most of my prospects available i was surprised by this answer...luckily we have this forum to hold our prospect info, but i wonder how fast they will be in adding players once they are close to the majors or being promoted to the majors, especially without a way to inform them of players needed to be added to the DB.
Just something to take note of here.

I don't think this matters much. They are good with adding guys ASAP when they get called up. Is there a reason we'd need them in their database prior to playing that I'm overlooking?

like drew already mentioned this is hardly an issue at all.
we have a roster limit so theres no need to call-up prospects that arent playing. if and when they do get called up, yahoo almost always has them in there system right away so you shouldnt have an issue at all

yeah, i dont think its an issue, especially if they are quick to add during promotions..... i just thought it was worth mentioning that it seems like there are allot less Baseball prospects then there are hockey. This league uses the forum very well.

Yahoo hockey used to be brutal for prospects, but it has gotten a lot better the last two years, basically every prospect I own is on yahoo (minus some of the guys in the KHL) Hopefully baseball follows suit, the downside of them not having them is you don't get the news alert. I love clicking on my watch list where I have all my prospects listed and scanning to see if they have recent news, gives you a heads up when they are called up, or injured, etc... In fairness you can get all that from rotoworld, fantrax etc, but its nice to have all your guys in one spot. Not a big deal for calling players up though, as Yahoo is pretty quick to add from my experience.
