Reds trade pick 20.13 (Kris Medlan) and prospect pick 17.13 (Jesus Ajular) to the Yankees for pick 17.5 (Chris Tillman) and prospect pick 20.5 (Matt Ihmof)
REDS TAKE: The Reds feel we won this deal - we are thrilled to have added Chris Tillman. By moving down to round 20, we missed the chance to take Trey Ball or Yorman Rodriguez, but are not disappointed with adding Matt Ihmof to the Louisville roster.
Reds trade pick 25.4 (Bartolo Colon) and prospect pick 6.4 (Tim Anderson) to the Twins for pick 21.16 (Tim Lincecum) and prospect pick 10.16 (traded to Expos who picked Eloy Jimenez)
REDS TAKE: The Reds feel we won this deal – at this point in the draft to get a pitcher with the potential of Lincecum could be a real season changer if he returns to form. The Reds were able to get back the guy that was at the top of their list at the time of this trade in round 7 (Adrian Rondon)
Reds trade Aoki and prospect picks 5.13 (Nomar Mazara) & 7.13 (traded back to Reds who picked Adrian Rondon) to the Expos for Jennings and prospect picks 14.5 (Leonardo Molina) & 14.6 (Lewis Thorpe)
REDS TAKE: The Reds feel this may not have been a good trade for them – the Reds upgraded their current roster by adding Jennings, but at the cost of adding Mazara and Brandon Finnegan vs. Molina and Thorpe (time will tell on the impact of this deal)
Reds trade prospect picks 8.4 (Reynaldo Lopez), 9.13 (Erick Fedde) & 10.16 (Eloy Jimenez) to the Expos for prospect picks 7.13 (Adrian Rondon), 12.5 (Dermis Garcia) & 12.6 (Foster Griffin)
REDS TAKE: The Reds wanted to get Rondon and made this move to get him – we feel we won this deal – while moving down to the 12th round lost the opportunity to get Erick Fedde, Joe Ross, and Alex Verdugo we are thrilled to have been able to select Garcia and Griffin at that point in the draft.
