So I'm trying to keep up...but Davies, did you get the fantrax site to be free? And have our minor league players assigned to each team?

We don't need draft pick trading on fantrax for sure....and the rookie limits we can live without because people are vultures and will snag other people's players up no doubt....so I think we can run the league for free on fantrax and have our minor leaguers organized which is a bonus for sure...I think the disconnect between the DHL being on Yahoo and the DBL being on Yahoo is that for me personally I don't know baseball prospects like I do hockey, so knowing who is owned is tougher.....I actually watch hours of video on hockey prospect and for baseball I mainly look at stats and read prospect magazines....the change will also allow me to not have to track prospects on my own as my time is pretty stretched at the moment....I love the league and the group of guys we have so I think we should give fantrax a try.....I will get the draft organized shortly as we are going from 20 to 25 prospects in this 5 round draft..

Correct me if I'm wrong but the GP limits feature for prospects on Fantrax is so that once a player in unable to be sent down, it would force you to drop or keep him...
Without that barrier in place, players will get moved up and down constantly with no chance of getting snatched (in theory they never hit the waiver wire?). that is unless I look at 15 different teams every day, make sure the player is where they should be, then email another mod to make them aware of this issue?
Am i understanding that feature or am i way off?
The reason I ask is because the only other time I used fantrax was for a hockey league and we ran into that issue - teams were exploiting the lack of barrier and sending down prospects even after they hit their GP limit.

Ya I guess in theory you could swap anyone to your minors for a day and hope no one notices....is that an $80 feature? Perhaps it is

when you add trading draft picks, with the issue above brought up by Peter, with a few other features that will most definitley come up at some point,,, the 5 dollars per team will start to make sense IMO....

So I'm trying to keep up...but Davies, did you get the fantrax site to be free? And have our minor league players assigned to each team? Yeah, the way it is now, it's free. But as I said.. There were 2 features I had that ran with league rules that made it premium. The minors thing can be set to use rookie limits which I mean.. For $5 I would rather change the rule to match fantrax and save the $5 lol. But I'm a cheap ass.. $20 is a lot to me already right now as a college kid that works minimum wage part time lol.

Ya it let me put Dominic Brown in the minors, and he's like 28 with 3 or 4 seasons already

What if we changed the rules to say something like:
Once a player is called up they cannot be sent to the minors unless the actual MLB team sends them down? Essentially no minor league call ups unless you are calling them up for good? Then we avoid the minors confusion all together? Just thinking on the fly

Glad to see Fantrax isn't causing any issues...

Part of the fun and strategy is calling up players, sending them down for another, etc...the only way that I think that this would work is if we expand our major league rosters.
Wasn't fantrax supposed to be easier?
