Directly following the Prospect Draft, we will be opening waivers for anyone wishing to claim a UFA. Waiver Priority has already been established based on the previous years usage. Like a draft, the person with the #1 waiver priority can either select a player or pass and retain their priority. In this case Houston has the #1 position. If they select a player they will lose the #1 priority and move to 16th. If they do not select a player they will retain their waiver priority.
If you select a player, post the player you are selecting. If you do not select a player, post that you pass. If you pass your selection, it will be assumed you are passing for the entirety of the draft. The draft has an unlimited # of rounds. It only expires once the final team decides they no longer wish to make a selection.
For example... Houston selects Tom Thomason (Fictional player name for those trying to look him up ). Mets post they select Peter Parker. Angels Pass. All remaining teams Pass. The 2nd round will list Houston with the 15th waiver position, and Mets 16th, all other teams move up two spots as they never used their waiver position. Only HOuston and Mets can select in the 2nd round. Houston selects Timmy Butts. Mets Pass. Houston moves to the 16th spot. Mets to the 15th. Only Houston can select in round 3. They pass and the waiver draft is complete. At this time all UFA's are available to be claimed on a first come first serve basis.
Hope this makes sense. If not ask before assuming!
