I agree it should be 5 DL as well. Especially with TJS being pretty much voluntary at this point. What did we decide on positions for the rosters?
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, IF, OF, UTIL SPx4, RPx3, Px2 Bench x5 DL x5
That would be my suggestion. I think if you're going to have an OF spot, there should be an IF spot. Just my suggestion.

Ya I think the above is good.....I went UTIL instead of IF so if you have a 2nd catcher there is a spot to play them if you choose.....with 16 teams and 4OF spots that UTIL spot will be an IF most times anyway....but we can look at it

I went with both then the 5 bench spots that guys seem to like from what they've said above.

The following will be the roster parameters......
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, IF, OF, UTIL SPx4, RPx3, Px2 Bench x5 DL x5
So please make your roster pages accordingly.....and please keep them up to date throughout the draft as I will use them to load up yahoo

I am posting this under Roster ideas, hope people see it.....
I know once the seasons starts it may change the view of available players to be easier, but I see it already....not having our prospects on our rosters on Yahoo is going to be a huge pain in the ass. Most of them are at the top of the list of available players and although we should know by common sense that most of or all of those prospects are taken, they just clutter the available ones.
I still wish we would have gone to a different website like Fantrax who handles farm teams perfectly, but since we are stuck...why don't we expand our rosters and add our prospects to our own teams. I know yahoo goes at least 40 players deep per roster, so it should be doable.
We are already having to go to the forum to promote and demote and keep track, so why not have our players available on our roster without having to pick them up and waive them every time we want to use them?
unless of course there is a philosophical reason that I am not aware of which of course is fine.
Just wanted to see what everyone thought.
thanks!

well i hope that's not the case...it is currently horrible and a completely annoying way of doing things. I would think we would try to make things more user friendly instead of making things more difficult and messy.
hope it can change!

I see no issue.. I have all my players on my watch list that are still in my minor league system. I can easily see if someone adds them and it's not much of a hassle to come to this page and just search a prospect.

Plus, my experience with fantrax is that since this would be my only team on that site, I would easily forget about it and not check up on it everyday to the point of me probably leaving the league. With all my teams on Yahoo and proboards already, it's a lot more convenient as is.

I like the current way. Don't find it that difficult to manage my teams in terms of bringing up and sending down prospects.
Took some getting used to years ago but now it's second nature.

And what about people who use the watch list for what it is actually used for? And what about people who want to look at 1 place to make a trade with someone but has to look at 2 diff places bc the prospects are not on the team on yahoo? No offense but those are silly reasons lol

I just keep my team and farm team listed on the same thread. Partly for my own convenience and also for others who might be looking to make a trade. Also throw draft picks I own on there too.

Everyone will do things a little differently, yahoo has its faults, but its advantages as well. I personally use the proboards site for all trade research, but I prefer to trade with managers rather than for players, that way I can avoid trading with guys who always win trades (you know who you are!) And avoid dealing with guys in my own division, although if its a rebuilding team I'll do it. I go to yahoo to set my rosters, call up prospects from my watch list etc. Like Drew I found this hard to get used to, but once I did its second nature and better than any other sites I've used. I agree it would be nice to go to add player nd have all the guys owned not show up, but seeing how most prospects won't be on yahoo searching on priboards isn't a terrible alternative. Wish yahoo would add a farm roster..maybe if we all email bomb them they will listen?
