I prefer not changing either as I am used to Yahoo and at the same time, I don't like the threat of others leaving our leagues, we are a good group of people.
Not that $5.00 is a lot of money, but it represents 25% of the amount of our entry fee...IF we were to add $5.00, wouldn't we be better off putting the extra $80 to the prizes?

it would, thats why i suggested doing the standard free platform on fantrax first. as the seasons go on, at least then we can decide to add more pay premium features if they help our league.

I still can't believe we're paying $80US because of the prospect stuff.

I agree with you Drew, I really didn't find it that difficult. Not to pay $80.

i agree but majority rules.
AGAIN, there is free options on fantrax so we may be able to conduct everything we do on yahoo plus a bit more without paying a cent.
from what i briefly checked when setting up a league on fantrax, it seems the pay premium functions are functions we dont use. so we should be able to run our entire league just the way have done so the same on fantrax.

Haven't we always needed a 2/3rds majority to make changes?

yes in the DHL...there is no rule in place here (at least i couldnt find one)
besides, the 'dont care' vote can fall on any side and as of final voting only fantrax reaches a 2/3rds majority if you use both together.

Ha so basically I don't care is used to push either side. I must have missed that day in Research Methods.
Ah well, do whatever. If I don't like it after this season I can be replaced.

Drew, have you ever used fantrax and don't like it or are you just comfortable with Yahoo?
I really don't want to switch but simply because I am comfortable with Yahoo, never used fantrax, all my other leagues are Yahoo, and don't want to pay extra money.
For the ones who want to switch, what is so bad with Yahoo? I never had any issues myself. From what I understand it has to do with prospects...isn't it as simple as if your guy played less than 200 games (which is really easy to find out) he is prospect eligible?
I am not seeing the point here, especially at a cost.
Please fill me in.

Fantrax allows you to use the premium features up until the 2nd or 3rd week I to the regular season to determine if we really need it.
So why not have the powers that be start as a free league and try out the features for a few weeks.. Perhaps they won't be needed

I'm very comfortable with Yahoo and have no issues with it. I can definitely see myself forgetting to set my lineup when I have one of a half dozen teams on a different platform.
I don't like a number of things with the Fantrax website. But someone here said they are planning on overhauling it?
If this is what everyone wants I will try it out for a year. I just don't see the need.
